Zakhira is located in West Delhi and is home to 5000 people.
A number of languages are spoken in this area viz. Bhojpuri, Maithili, Hindi, Rajasthani, and Urdu.
Most residents are migrants who have moved from the neighbouring states in search of a livelihood. Residents are mainly employed as labourers in the factories nearby.
Garbage disposal and sanitation remains one of the most pressing issues in the community. In the absence of timely and adequate garbage disposal, the community is perpetually battling diseases and illnesses arising out of the unhygienic surroundings. Surrounded by industries, this community is also a hotbed for industrial pollutants which are dumped without proper and safe disposal practices further endangering the health and weel-being of its inhabitants.
Magic Bus has been working in Zakhira since the last 3 years.There are 150 children in the programme as of now.

Sessions are divided into 3 parts:
Warm up: The development goal is introduced using interactive activities
Main activity: The development goal is reinforced using sports and activities
Review: A discussion is facilitated to draw parallels to real-life situations and sum up the learning objectives.
