With a population of about 1,500, DDA Flat is a tiny area in the Badarpur block in south Delhi. DDA Flat is connected to Badarpur block via Amby road, and is about 1km away from Faridabad.
Most residents live in pukka houses made of brick and cement, but there are a few residents that live in daub and mud structures too.
The area has a proper drainage system and water supply from the Delhi government. It also has communal toilets.
Residents of this locality mostly work in government organisations.
The Magic Bus programme started in June 2014 with around 100 children. Operations are handled by Aman Kumar, the Youth Mentor.
The Magic Bus team met with 32 parents and discussed problems faced by the community.
Health and hygiene and gender equality will be the main focus of the Magic Bus Sport For Development sessions in this area. The sessions will be held from 6am to 10am and from 5pm to 7pm for groups of children based on age. Sessions are divided into three parts:
